David has held influential “Strategic and Thought Leadership” positions for over 25 years in the public and private sectors, across the utility, data and climate change industries. This includes Industry Adviser on Sustainable Energy at the United Nations, Professor in Practice at Keele University and member of Durham County Council's Climate Emergency Board. David also presently consults as a Smart Energy Advisor at EQUANS (previously ENGIE) and is supporting Connexin, in development of their IoT for Energy solutions. David has also recently been appointed as a non Executive Director at Wondrwall Group.
